Small things, written down.

Scroll for past updates. Images may take a moment on first load.

After turning into a 2 and a 4, can it get any smaller?

Four players, three brutal hours to clear the tutorial.

Why can't I finish revising even with a month head start… hopeless idiot…

Sharing some AI images I've come across lately — the only places I remember seeing landscapes like these are Xinjiang and Qinghai.

This photo taken in Canterbury also matches my imagination — a pity most of the glaciers on those mountains had already melted.

Hello, everyone!

+ Skylark Ragout Hagiwara Sakutarō · 1917

Offering the night's love-feast like a sacrifice,

the candles tinged with gloom by fish-fat smoke,

I resolve to push open that lovely green window.

Ah, look at the sky —

lift what drifts in the far distance of May

onto the plate in my hands that holds a skylark,

while lovely you resolve to walk off to the left.

*agape: the communal meal of the early Christians. From Howling at the Moon by Hagiwara Sakutarō.
+ September Haizi · 1986

On the grassland where the gods died, wildflowers bloom for miles

the wind in the far distance is farther than the far away

my qin sobs, my tears run dry

I return the distance's distance to the grassland

one called Wood, one called Ponytail

my qin sobs, my tears run dry

the distance gathers its wildflowers only in death

the bright moon hangs like a mirror over the grassland, reflecting a thousand years

my qin sobs, my tears run dry

alone I ride past the grassland

From The Poems of Haizi, People's Literature Publishing House, 1999.
+ In the Mirror Zhang Zao · 1984

Whenever I recall the regrets of a lifetime

plum blossoms fall

like watching her swim to the other bank

like climbing a pine-wood ladder

dangerous things are beautiful, after all

better to watch her come home on horseback

cheeks warm

blushing. Head lowered, answering the Emperor

a mirror waits for her, forever

lets her sit where she always sat in the mirror

looking out the window — whenever I recall the regrets of a lifetime

plum blossoms cover the southern mountain

From The Poems of Zhang Zao, People's Literature Publishing House, 2017.
